Job Description

MedData has an excellent career opportunity available as a Senior Accountant to work in Brecksville, OH




Under the direction of the Divisional Controller - Insurance, the Senior Accountant carries out duties to support the monthly financial processes by performing the following duties. 


  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and reoccurring entries.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Record daily cash activity and maintain daily cash reports.
  • Assist with monthly invoicing of clients.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and create monthly financial reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining fixed assets and working with parent company through capitalization process.
  • Assist with year-end audit and other projects as assigned.
  • Prepare various monthly and quarterly tax returns.
  • Ensure all accounting transactions are in accordance with GAAP and that internal policies and procedures are followed; communicate any exceptions to Supervisor.
  • Assist Operations personnel in analyzing and interpreting statistical and accounting information impacting any and all Business Units.
  • Other duties as assigned.



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years experience in accounting.
  • 3+ years experience with Corporate Tax
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Advanced math skills.
  • Expertise with general ledger systems, MAS preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office products, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read contracts and follow terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational skills required.
  • Ability to meet designated deadlines is also a critical qualification.
