    Job Description

    MedData has an excellent career opportunity available as an Admin Coordinator to work in Draper, UT. The schedule for this Full Time role is Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5:00 PM.   



    The purpose of this position is to provide general clerical and administrative office duties within the Service Center and eligibility department.



    • Posting new and related referrals into PAT as received from various hospital systems. Acknowledge referral by documenting the hospital system, updating the billing indicators/payor codes, verify the patient’s date(s) of service, and flag accounts in PAT to reflect DHR referral reason
    • In-House accounts to be posted within an hour of receipt via fax, email or Workque. Expectation is to post Inpatient (IP) accounts within four (4) hours of receipt and Emergency Department (ED) and other types of referrals such as clinic, OP, OBV, etc within 24hrs of referral to DHR
    • Reconciliation of referrals within PAT and hospital systems. Reviewing discrepancies in accounts by reviewing both PAT and the hospital system.  Responsible for identifying any errors or inconsistencies, and correcting or distributing to the appropriate party for resolution and clarification of referral purpose
    • Communicate with Administration or Advocate Manager/Supervisor on problem accounts and work with hospital staff to resolve any assignment/referral issues, if appropriate
    • Learn and work with multiple hospital systems and user interfaces to post accounts timely and efficiently
    • Answer phones, screen and forward calls to advocate or staff. Serve as a back-up to the DHR concierge line that requires screening incoming calls for potential linkage to a government program
    • Working at the reception desk and assist with incoming screening calls, greeting all visitors, and scheduling patient appointments if required
    • Process all incoming faxes and various emails destitution accounts to ensure timely posting and distribution of client and patient documents timely
    • Process all incoming mail daily by scanning and uploading to PAT and tasking the advocate or recipient for immediate handling
    • Support the billing department by checking payments in hospital systems for invoicing purposes, including insurance payments
    • Provide training to other employees on hospital systems and hospital protocols for each hospital
    • Collaborate with Supervisor/Manager in various offices and regions to support operations for multiple client referrals
    • Provide support for Administrative Assistants and performing duties outlined in Administrative Assistant Job Description as needed
    • Provide assistance with completing various reports as instructed by manager
    • Order and maintain supplies for the service center and advocates
    • Troubleshoot office technology (copies, fax, scanner, printer, etc) problems and systems as requested or required
    • Assist with printing and preparing marketing, training and reference tools
    • Work with Staff Advocates, if needed, with Spanish communications and follow up tasks
    • Provide administrative support to the executive team, as needed
    • Other duties as requested by management
