The schedule for this Full Time role is Wednesday - Saturday 8 AM - 7 PM   POSITION OVERVIEW: The purpose of this position is to connect uninsured hospital patients to programs that will cover their medical expenses. We have an excellent career opportunity available.  We are seeking an Payment Review Specialist  to work at our office in The Woodlands, TX. Working schedule for this Full Time role is Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.   The Payment Review Specialist primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the timeliness and accuracy of payments being retrieved from various hospital systems.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Follow all approved accounts in MPower until they are paid or settled in full by reviewing the hospital system or via electronic payment files on a weekly basis. - Retrieve payments posted in various hospital systems within the same month posted by the hospital for posting in MPower. - Compile all relevant payment information for the Cash Posting Team for invoicing the client. - Work payment files regularly and identifying/reporting inconsistencies. - Progressing patient flat fee accounts in MPower to determine if they should be invoiced a flat fee amount or moved into the appropriate activity code. - Verifying account charges in the hospital system and updating MPower as needed. - Identify account issues and progress them to Operations Management for resolution. - Adhere to weekly/month-end deadlines. - Communicate with the operations team to answer or resolve any issues of payment discrepancies. - Adheres to corporate compliance. - Any additional responsibilities as required by management.   QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The schedule for this full time role is Monday- Friday 8am -5pm.    This position will required 2 weeks of training at our Jackson, MS office. Additional details can be discussed during the interview.    Position Description: The primary role of this position is to manage patient accounts by communicating with hospitals, insurance companies, attorneys and the patient. This position requires a great amount of organizational skills along with the ability to multi-task, as the On-Site Administrator is continuously receiving and processing information.  This position will be the point person between RevClaims, the patient, and the provider. The Administrator must understand and promote the relationship between our company and the provider by managing relationships with employees at every level of the provider’s organization. The On-Site Administrator will work on site at the health care facility.    Essential Functions: - Input patient and liable third party information into RevClaims and provider systems; basic to cross-informational data entry. - Receive and process insurance information and forms from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys. - Process additional information and request from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys on the billing of patient treatment. - Review and manage patient accounts to ensure that proper documentation, payments, and necessary letters of authorization are entered correctly. - Manage patient accounts through the company’s database and coordinate with the home office in regards to medical information and billing to third parties. - Technology based testing participation. - Responsible for maintaining and adhering to compliance policies and procedures. - Regular and timely attendance. - Other duties as assigned. The schedule for this full time role is Monday - Friday 8:30am -5pm.    As the Hospital Patient Advocate you will also be traveling to cover other hospitals in the area and doing home visits. Driving is required.    What does a Patient Advocate do? The purpose of a Patient Advocate is to connect uninsured and underinsured hospital patients to programs that will cover their medical expenses such as MediCal, Social Security, Disability, Workers Comp and other state and local county programs. Working as the liaison between the patient in need, the hospital facility and government agencies.    POSITION OVERVIEW: The purpose of this position is to connect uninsured hospital patients to programs that will cover their medical expenses. Working as the liaison between the patient in need, the hospital facility and government agencies.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS: - Screen uninsured hospital patients in an effort to determine if patient is a viable candidate for federal, state, and/or county medical or disability assistance. - Complete the appropriate applications and following through until approved - Detailed, accurate and timely documentation in both MPower and the hospital systems on all cases worked - Provide exceptional customer service skills at all times - Participate in ongoing trainings in order to apply the content learned in dealings with patients and cases - Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts - Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, financial counselors - Answer incoming telephone calls, make out-bound calls, and track (via MPower) all paperwork necessary to submit enrollment and renewal for prospective Medicaid patients. - Maintain structured and timely contact with the applicant and responsible government agency, by phone whenever possible or as structured via the daily work queue. - Assist the applicant with gathering any additional reports or records, meeting appointment dates and times and arrange transportation if warranted - Request home visits as needed to acquire documentation - As per established protocols, inform the client in a timely manner of all approvals and denials of coverage - Participate in additional training requirements in an effort to stay abreast of the ever changing rules and regulations associated with the various governmental programs - All other duties as assigned   QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  - High School Diploma or GED, some college coursework preferred - Prior hospital experience preferred - Adaptability when dealing with constantly changing processes, computer systems and government programs - Professional experience working with state and federal programs - Exemplary critical thinking skills - Ability to maneuver throughout the hospital and patients’ rooms for up to 8 hours per day - Proficient experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and Outlook - Effectively communicate both orally and written, to a variety of individuals - Ability to multitask - Ability to function in a fast paced environment BENEFITS: MedData believes in making a positive impact not only within our industry but also with our employees –the organization’s greatest asset. The schedule for this Monday through Friday 8 AM TO 5 PM with flexibility as needed.     POSITION OVERVIEW   This role serves as the face of MedData to our hospital clients on a day to day basis. The purpose of this position is to lead and manage all operational staff and client portfolios encompassing the assigned area within the division of the eligibility service line.
